U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton visits the Dominican Republic next week for talks with officials from Canada and Latin America on boosting economic growth in the Western Hemisphere.

The State Department says Secretary Clinton will travel to the Caribbean nation next Wednesday for the fourth Pathways to Prosperity in the Americas meeting. Pathways to Prosperity partners are Western Hemisphere countries committed to democracy and open markets.

During her visit, Clinton is scheduled to address women entrepreneurs and take part in a high-level panel with officials from the Organization of American States, Inter-American Development Bank and the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean.

Clinton attended the Pathways to Prosperity meeting last year in Costa Rica.
