U.S. authorities say a suspicious package containing a powdery substance delivered on Saturday to the home of Vice President Joe Biden's brother appears to be harmless.

The envelope was mailed to Francis Biden's Ocean Ridge home in Florida. No injuries were reported, though the area surrounding Biden's home was evacuated while the bomb squad investigated.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation says preliminary tests showed the contents of the package are not harmful.
