Crude oil prices fell $1.59 to end at $77.61 a barrel.
Coffee futures slid more than 5 cents to close at $2.23 a pound.
Copper prices dropped one cent to close at $3.14 a pound.
Cocoa futures plunged $33 to settle at $2,575 a ton.
In Chicago trading, the price of wheat rose 10 cents to close at $6.19 a bushel.
The price of rice advanced 4 cents to finish at $15.99 per hundredweight.
