Greek police are investigating an explosion that killed a Turkish Kurd late Tuesday in the northern city of Thessaloniki.

Police said Wednesday they found two machine guns and about 10 hand grenades in the basement of an apartment where the blast occurred. The explosion damaged buildings nearby.

Authorities have not revealed the identity of the man, who was 32.
