A 52 year old man, who spent half of his life in prison for a murder he didn't commit, won his first and only professional boxing match Saturday in (the western U.S. state of )) California.
Dewey Bozella knocked out Larry Hopkins in the final round of their cruiserweight bout at an arena in the city of Los Angeles.
Bozella says the win was the greatest moment in his life. The one time amateur boxing champion says he dreamed about winning a professional fight during his 26 years in prison.
He always said he was not guilty of killing a 92 year old woman back in 1983.
Bozella's conviction was overturned in 2009 after witnesses changed their stories.
Bozella, who earned two college degrees while in prison, realized his lifelong dream Saturday. He says he plans to open a gym in his home town in New York and train kids in boxing.
