Reports in Kuwait say Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammad al-Sabah has resigned.
Local newspapers say the minister submitted his resignation Monday, but no reason was reported. The government has not commented.
The newspapers say the Kuwaiti foreign minister did not attend the weekly Cabinet meeting Monday after missing a Sunday Arab League meeting to discuss the situation in Syria.
Kuwait's parliament regularly challenges the government, which is dominated by the ruling al-Sabah family.
The full Cabinet resigned in March after parliament filed petitions to question three al-Sabah family members who were senior ministers and involved in a corruption probe. The men were not charged with any crimes.
