Witnesses in Somalia's capital report a large explosion near the country's foreign ministry.
Initial reports indicate the blast Tuesday was the work of a suicide car bomber. A journalist in Mogadishu tells VOA that at least three people were killed.
Earlier this month, a suicide truck bomb went off near a compound housing several government ministries, killing more than 70 people.
The blast came as Kenya's defense minister and foreign minister visited the city for talks with Somali officials.
Kenya has deployed troops in Somalia to hunt down al-Shabab militants.
