Tens of thousands of Hungarian protesters filled central Budapest Sunday to march against what they say are the anti-democratic policies of the government.

Protesters decried a range of decisions by the conservative ruling Fidesz party, including a restrictive media law, tax hikes, spending cuts, and changes in election laws.

Organizers say the government is out to destroy the rule of law with an undemocratic system.

Sunday's march came on the 55th anniversary of the Hungarian Revolution — the popular uprising against Soviet rule.
