Officials at St. James Palace have announced that Britain's Prince William and his wife Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, will travel to Denmark to view a UNICEF supply center next month.

The palace said Wednesday the royal couple will visit the facility, which distributes emergency food and medical supplies to East Africa, November 2. They will be accompanied by the Crown Prince and Crown Princess of Denmark and are hoping the visit will draw attention to the worsening food crisis.

Food shortages in East Africa affect more than 13 million people, including over 320,000 children suffering from severe malnutrition who are at risk of death without immediate help.

The UNICEF emergency supply center in Copenhagen sends critically needed supplies to children in crisis around the world.
