At least 15 people have been killed in Iran after two massive explosions rocked an ammunition depot west of Tehran.

Iranian state media reports say something blew up Saturday at a military facility operated by the Revolutionary Guards Corps.

A spokesman for the elite military unit says an initial investigation indicates the explosions occurred as military forces were moving ammunition at the facility.

The powerful blasts damaged nearby buildings and could be felt 40 kilometers away in the capital.
