Pakistani officials say gunmen have ambushed the paramilitary Frontier Corps encampment in southwestern Baluchistan province, killing 14 soldiers and wounding at least six others.

The military blames Monday's attack on Baluch rebels who have been fighting the government for decades, demanding greater independence and a larger share of the province's natural resources.
