Golfer Tiger Woods has ended a two-year losing streak by winning the Chevron World Challenge by one shot.

A stroke behind fellow American Zach Johnson before Sunday's play, Woods fired birdie putts on the final two holes to secure the victory at the Sherwood Country Club course in Thousand Oaks, California. He finished at three-under-par 69.

The victory ends a long losing streak for Woods whose world ranking had fallen from number one to 52nd. He had not won in the last 26 official tournaments in which he participated.

Woods has been beset by turmoil in his personal life and injuries.
