Protestors and activists from across the United States continue to gather on Washington's National Mall for several days of planned protests aimed at Congress and its leaders on Capitol Hill.

Nicknamed the “Take Back the Capitol” protest, organizers have planned rallies starting Tuesday and continuing for at least the next three days.

Organizers expect thousands of protestors to descend on Washington for this round of rallies.

Musician Jackson Browne joined the Washington rally Monday playing songs and expressing support for the gathering protestors.

Washington police arrested 31 anti-Wall Street protesters Sunday after authorities moved in to remove a wooden structure the protesters erected without a permit.

Occupy Wall Street camps in cities around the country have been closed by authorities in recent weeks. In the northwestern city of Portland, Oregon, police shut down a downtown-area park Saturday night, arresting anti-Wall Street protesters who refused to leave.

The Occupy Wall Street movement began nearly three months ago.
