NATO says an Afghan National Army soldier has killed four coalition service members.

The alliance says the service members were killed Friday in eastern Afghanistan.

NATO says the suspected shooter has been apprehended.

Meanwhile, helicopter belonging to international military forces in Afghanistan crashed in the country's south Thursday, killing six NATO service members.

A spokesman announced the accident early Friday and said there was no insurgent activity reported in the area when the helicopter went down.

The cause of the crash is being investigated.
