The eldest son of French President Nicolas Sarkozy has been hospitalized in the Ukrainian city of Odessa.

Pierre Sarkozy, a rap producer also known as DJ Mosay, was taken to a hospital in the Black Sea city after feeling ill.

The 26-year-old Sarkozy was scheduled to perform at a local club on Tuesday but never showed up.

The French Embassy in Kyiv declined to comment.

Pierre Sarkozy is the French president's eldest son by his first wife, Marie-Dominique Culioli.
