Authorities in northwestern Pakistan say a bomb blast has killed at least six members of a pro-government tribal militia.

Officials say at least three other people were wounded in the explosion in the restive Khyber tribal district on the Afghan border.

Islamist militants in the region frequently attack Pakistani security forces.
