NATO says two of its servicemen were shot dead in an attack carried out by two Afghans, including one believed to be a soldier.

Thursday's shooting in southern Afghanistan is the most recent in a spate of attacks on NATO service members killed by their Afghan colleagues.

A total of six NATO service members were killed in the past week, including two U.S. military advisers shot and killed on Sunday inside their office at the Afghan Interior Ministry. Earlier an Afghan soldier shot and killed two U.S. troops last week during a protest over reports of the burning of Qurans at a U.S. military base near Kabul.
