Witnesses in the Republic of Congo's capital say at least three explosions rattled Brazzaville early Sunday. There has been no confirmation of casualties.

Diplomatic and government officials say the blasts came from a munitions depot just outside Brazzaville.

Witnesses say a plume of smoke could been seen over Brazzaville from across the Congo River, in Kinshasa, the capital of neighboring Democratic Republic of Congo.

There are reports of windows being blown out and doors being thrown open from the explosions.

Some reports say the blasts were accidental, but the exact cause has not been determined.
