Two separate bomb blasts and an insurgent attack in southern and eastern Afghanistan killed two NATO service members and a local Afghan government official Wednesday.
NATO says both coalition troops were killed in the south — one in a roadside bombing and the other in an insurgent attack. The international coalition did not provide their nationalities or other details.
In eastern Laghman province, a roadside bomb killed the head of the Dawlat Shah District and wounded a school principal while they were driving to work.
The attacks came a day after five suicide bombers killed at least 19 people and wounded more than 30 others in separate attacks in western and southern Afghanistan.
