A Lebanese citizen pled guilty Monday to charges of attempting to set off a bomb outside Chicago's Wrigley Stadium, home of baseball's Chicago Cubs.

Under a plea deal with federal prosecutors, Sami Samir Hassoun faces up to 30 years in prison when he is sentenced in August.

Undercover FBI agents provided Hassoun with a phony bomb that he put in a garbage can outside the stadium during a concert in September 2010.

Hassoun is a permanent U.S. resident alien from Lebanon. Prosecutors say he had told the undercover agents that he wanted to cause political instability and paralyze commerce in Chicago as part of what he called a “revolution.”
