Officials in northwestern Pakistan say a suicide bomber has attacked a police checkpoint, killing at least 11 people, including four policemen.

Authorities say the attack happened Friday in Khar, the main town of the Bajaur tribal district, along the Afghan border.

Officials say no group has claimed responsibility for the attack, but the Pakistani Taliban has carried out similar attacks in the past.
