A Chinese teenager is making American sports history.
Fourteen year-old Andy Zhang will be the youngest golfer on record to play in the prestigious U.S. Open tournament.
Zhang qualified for the match when British golfer Paul Casey dropped out because of a shoulder injury.
The previous youngest U.S. Open competitor was 15 year-old Tadd Fujikawa, who played in the 2006 tournament.
One-hundred and 56 golfers will battle for a share of the $8 million in prize money when the U.S. Open tees off Thursday in San Francisco.
