Sweden has increased security at its nuclear facilities after explosives were detected inside a truck at its southern Ringhals nuclear plant during a routine security check.

Authorities says the explosives material did not have a detonator.

Police are investigating the case as possible sabotage, but have not identified any suspects.

The four nuclear reactors at the Ringhal plant on the southwest coast produce about 20 percent of Sweden's electricity.

Sweden has six other reactors that produce most of the country's energy.
