A grenade attack on a bar in the Kenyan tourist city of Mombasa has killed one person and wounded at least eight, one day after the U.S. Embassy warned of imminent terrorism.
No one has claimed responsibility for the Sunday night attack. There have been numerous bombings and kidnappings in Kenya since October, when Kenyan forces crossed into Somalia to help that country get rid of al-Shabab Islamic militants.
Mombasa, located on the Indian Ocean, is a major tourist destination for foreign visitors.
Kenyan officials say the U.S. travel advisory may drive away tourists.
