Car bombings in two southern Iraqi cities have killed at least 16 people and wounded dozens more.
Two explosions killed 10 people and wounded 36 more Sunday in Mahmoudiya, about 30 kilometers south of Baghdad.
Minutes later explosions killed six people and wounded at least 15 others in a crowded market in Madain.
The violence comes as Iraqis observe the holy month of Ramadan, which began Saturday.
