U.S. presidential candidate Mitt Romney began a short visit to Israel Sunday with a meeting with his longtime friend Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who told Romney that he agrees with the Republican's stance that the greatest danger facing the world is the potential for a nuclear-armed Iran.

Romney said he wants to hear Mr. Netanyahu's perspective about further actions that could be taken to dissuade Iran from their “nuclear folly.”

Romney will meet later with Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad in Jerusalem.

Romney arrived in Israel Saturday night from Britain, where he attended the opening of the London Olympic Games. He travels on to Poland Monday, the last stop on his tour.
