A remote-controlled bomb has exploded outside the Afghan capital, killing at least eight civilians and wounding one other person.
Police say the blast Tuesday struck a bus in Paghman, just west of Kabul.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
Also Tuesday, police say a truck bomb exploded outside a NATO base south of Kabul, wounding at least 11 civilians.
The Taliban claimed responsibility for the blast Tuesday in Logar province.
NATO also said Tuesday an insurgent attack killed a coalition service member in eastern Afghanistan. It did not give further details on the attack or the nationality of the soldier.
