Two people have been tossed out of the Republican National Convention for using racial taunts.

Convention officials and the U.S. television news network CNN say the two threw nuts at a black CNN camerawoman Tuesday night and yelled, “This is how we feed animals.”

CNN said the camerawoman was working at the Tampa Bay Times Forum, where delegates were officially nominating Mitt Romney as the Republican presidential candidate. The network says several other people witnessed the event and that security officials removed the two immediately.

CNN quoted convention officials as saying the conduct of the two suspects was “inexcusable and unacceptable,” and that “this kind of behavior will not be tolerated.''
