Afghan officials say a suicide bombing has killed at least 20 people, in one of the deadliest attacks on civilians in Afghanistan in recent weeks.
The attack occurred Tuesday at a funeral in the remote district of Dur Baba in eastern Nangarhar Province.
Officials say the probable target of the attack was District governor Hamisha Gul, who was among the 50 people wounded.
A provincial spokesman says at least 25 people died in the blast.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility.
Taliban militants are known for targeting government officials at public functions.
