A bomb has killed at least nine people in the northwestern Pakistan city of Peshawar.
Police say the explosion took place on the outskirts of the city as a van carrying members of the Pakistani air force approached. They say at least 30 people were injured.
Officials say it is not clear who is behind the attack and there was no immediate claim of responsibility.
Separately, Pakistani officials said the military found the bodies of 29 Taliban militants in the Bajur tribal area in the country's northwest.
Officials said the militants were killed during a recent two-week offensive designed to push back fighters they said had sneaked across the border from Afghanistan.
Islamabad has complained the United States and Afghanistan have not done enough to prevent incursions into Pakistani territory. The U.S. and Afghanistan have similarly accused Pakistan of failing to stop cross-border attacks originating in Pakistan.
