Blast in Eastern Turkey Kills 6

At least six people are reported dead after an explosion in the eastern Turkish city of Tunceli.

Reports say the explosion occurred Tuesday as a security vehicle was passing by. The vehicle was destroyed, and Turkish media reported that smoke from the blast could be seen over much of the city.

Ambulances have been dispatched to the scene.

The cause of the explosion was not immediately known.
