Officials in northern Afghanistan say a roadside bomb blast has hit a minibus, killing 15 people and wounding 18 others.

Authorities say the minibus was taking people to a wedding when it was hit Friday in Balkh province.

Police say most of the passengers were women and children. The blast victims were taken to a hospital in Mazar-E- Sharif.
