Weather forecasters in the United States say another potentially damaging storm is headed to the East Coast, a week after Superstorm Sandy devastated the region.
Forecasters say a strong storm, called a nor'easter, is developing off the southeastern United States and is expected to move north, eventually reaching the northeast coast by the middle of the week.
The storm is not expected to be as strong as Sandy, but forecasters say it will bring gusty winds, cold temperatures and up to seven centimeters of rain.
Officials say the rain could possibly cause flooding of the same areas where Sandy hit. Areas further island could see snow.
New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg decided the storm was not severe enough to order a new round of evacuations.
Last week, Sandy killed more than 100 people and caused up to $50 billion in damages.
