Three separate attacks in Afghanistan Thursday killed 18 people.

In Helmand province, authorities say a roadside bomb killed 10 civilians who were traveling to a wedding celebration.

In eastern Laghman province, a government spokesman said five Afghan soldiers died when their convoy hit a land mine.

And a suicide bomb attack in Kandahar City killed three policemen.

There were no claims of responsibility, but similar attacks have been claimed by Taliban insurgents.
