Suicide Bomber Strikes in Afghanistan’s Kapisa Province

At least five people have died in a suicide bombing in Afghanistan's Kapisa province, northeast of Kabul.

Government officials said the attacker was in a car when he blew himself up near a government building.

Four civilians and at least one police officer were killed. At least four other people were wounded.

Earlier, Afghan officials said the country's vice president and interior minister survived a rocket attack at a police training center in Wardak province.

Government officials say Vice President Karim Khalili and Interior Minister Besmullah Mohammadi were unhurt in Wednesday's attack, and no one else was injured.

And the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan says one of its members died in southern Afghanistan after the explosion of an improvised explosive device Wednesday.
