A suicide bomber has targeted the offices of a provincial governor in northern Afghanistan, killing two people.
Officials said the bomber detonated his suicide vest outside the office of Parwan province's governor Tuesday. There were no reports of injuries to the governor.
The Interior Ministry says two people, including a young woman, were killed and two others wounded in the attack.
The Taliban claimed responsibility for the suicide bombing.
The insurgent group has stepped up its attacks on government officials and Afghan and international troops in recent months.
