Britain's Prince William and his wife Kate, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, experienced a touch of Hollywood glamour in California Saturday night at an event promoting up-and-coming British film talent.
The event drawing U.S. and British movie stars was sponsored by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts.
Earlier Saturday, Prince William participated in a charity polo match in Santa Barbara, California.
The event attracted several hundred people who paid $4,000 for VIP tickets or $400 for cheap seats.
Prince William scored four goals to lead his team to victory.
Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, presented a trophy to the winning team before rewarding her husband with a kiss, to the delight of the crowd.
On Sunday, the couple will watch a dance event at a non profit agency in the downtrodden skid row area of Los Angeles before attending a job fair for returning U.S. military personnel.
The newly-married couple arrived in Los Angeles Friday after a nine-day trip to Canada, their first foreign excursion since getting married in April.
This is Kate's first visit to the United States.
