NASA says Monday will be the last full day a space shuttle will spend docked at the International Space Station.
On Sunday, the astronauts of space shuttle Atlantis finished packing two tons of old equipment and trash from the ISS into a cargo hauler for the return flight to Earth.
The Italian-built cargo pod will be placed into Atlantis' payload bay Monday ahead of shuttle's Tuesday departure.
Atlantis is scheduled to end its' 13-day mission with a Thursday morning landing at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
This is the final flight for the 30-year old shuttle fleet. Atlantis, the fourth shuttle in NASA's fleet, first flew into space in October, 1985.
