A jury has convicted two Antinguan men of murdering a Welsh couple during their honeymoon on the popular Caribbean vacation island.

The two men, Avie Howell and Kaniel Martin, were found guilty Wednesday of shooting to death Benjamin and Catherine Mullany in their luxury beach cottage in an apparent robbery attempt in 2008.

Howell and Martin were also convicted of murdering a Jamaican shopkeeper on the island.

Both maintained their innocence throughout the nearly two month-long trial. They will face sentencing on September 26.
