Officials say two Turkish citizens kidnapped in northern Afghanistan have been freed.
The men were working for a private firm when they were abducted in Jowzjan province in June.
Afghan and Turkish officials said Wednesday that Afghan security forces rescued the two Turkish nationals during a military operation.
It was unclear who was behind the kidnapping and whether a ransom was paid.
A third Turkish man abducted in the June incident was released on August 13.
Criminals and insurgents have kidnapped a number of foreigners in Afghanistan, including reconstruction and relief workers.
Separately, the Afghan Interior Ministry says a rocket was fired into the center of Kabul, near the presidential palace, early Wednesday. There were no reports of casualties or damage.
