The International Criminal Court is set to rule on an appeal of its earlier decision to dismiss Kenya's bid to have six Kenyan suspects tried in Kenya.
The ICC says it will announce its decision Tuesday, three months after ruling the Kenyan government had not given concrete proof it is investigating or prosecuting the suspects.
Kenya appealed the ruling, and worked to implement reforms demonstrating the cases can be tried in Kenya itself.
The six suspects are accused of organizing Kenya's 2007-2008 post-election violence, and are all prominent Kenyan politicians or businessmen. The government initially agreed to cooperate with the ICC's probe into the violence, but changed course earlier this year.
Kenya's post-election violence broke out in late December 2007, after incumbent leader Mwai Kibaki was declared the winner of the presidential poll. Full calm was not restored until April, when a power-sharing deal made Mr. Kibaki's election rival Raila Odinga prime minister.
