Greek public transportation workers began another strike in Athens Thursday to protest government austerity measures.

Train, buses and trolleys are expected to remain idle in the capital for through Friday.

In a separate demonstration, Greek power company workers are occupying a government building to stop bills containing a new property tax from being sent out.

The demonstrations and strikes are the latest efforts by Greeks upset by government cuts aimed at securing more of last year's $159 billion bailout package.

On Tuesday, the European Union, the International Monetary Fund and European Central Bank announced Greece would receive an $11 billion installment early next month, although it needs to reach more austerity benchmarks.

Earlier this month, thousands of Greek public service workers walked off their jobs in protest of the government's austerity measures.
