Pakistani officials say a suicide bomb blast has targeted a police officer's vehicle, killing the officer and his driver.

Authorities say the men were attacked Friday as they drove through the northwestern town of Risalpur.

Police say the slain officer, Akhtar Shah, had arrested militants.

Officials say four people were wounded in the explosion.
