A luxury cruise ship has run aground off the Italian coast. At least six people have died in the aftermath.
Italian officials say more than 4,000 passengers and crew members were aboard the Costa Concordia when it ran into trouble late Friday near the Tuscan island of Giglio. The Italian coast guard says passengers and crew are being evacuated Saturday to the island.
The coast guard says the ship has taken on water and is badly listing.
The 290-meter-long Costa Concordia was on a trip around the Mediterranean when it ran aground. The cause of the incident is being investigated.
