Authorities in southern Pakistan say a Kenyan aid worker and his Pakistani driver have gone missing.

Police officials say the aid worker's abandoned car was found in Sindh province's town of Naushero Feroze late Sunday. His bags were left behind in the vehicle.

Police say they are looking into the possibility that the Kenyan was abducted for ransom.

The incident comes just three days after two foreign aid workers, an Italian and a German, were kidnapped in Punjab province.

No one claimed responsibility for that abduction, the latest in a series of kidnappings of foreigners.

Earlier this month, gunmen in the southwestern Pakistani city of Quetta kidnapped a British man working with the International Committee of the Red Cross.

American aid worker Warren Weinstein was abducted from his home in the eastern city of Lahore last August. Al-Qaida claimed responsibility for his kidnapping in December.

And a Swiss couple is reportedly being held hostage by the Pakistani Taliban after being taken from the southwestern province of Baluchistan

in July of last year.
