Iraqi police say a suicide bomber has killed at least 15 people and wounded more than 20 others in an attack on a police academy in Baghdad.

Security sources say the bomber blew himself up Sunday at the entrance to the academy.

Hospital officials confirmed the casualties.

The blast breaks a period of relative calm in Iraq, which has seen a decline in attacks in recent weeks.
