Israel has carried out deadly airstrikes in the Gaza Strip, following a barrage of rockets fired by Palestinian militants.
Palestinian medical officials say the Israeli strikes Saturday killed two Palestinians and wounded at least 24 others.
Officials say one of the dead is a six-year-old boy. Israel confirmed it struck multiple targets in Gaza but denied involvement in the child's death.
The Israeli army says the latest raids were in response to dozens of rockets fired by Palestinian militants in recent days.
One of the rockets fired on Saturday hit the Israeli town of Sderot, injuring an Israeli man.
In response to the violence, the Palestinian militant group Hamas threatened to break its three-day old Egyptian-brokered truce with Israel. The truce had temporarily calmed violence that erupted on Monday when gunmen from Sinai killed an Israeli civilian in an ambush along Israel's southern border with Egypt.
