The genocide and warcrimes trial of former Bosnian Serb wartime Commander Ratko Mladic resumed Monday with the prosecution's first witness taking the stand.

Bosnian Muslim Elvedin Pasic told the court in The Hague how, at age 14, he survived the execution of 150 men by Bosnian Serb troops in November 1992 in the northern village of Grabovica.

He also described to the court how Bosnia's ethnic groups lived peacefully together until the outbreak of the conflict.

Mladic has been indicted on 11 counts, including genocide, in connection with crimes committed during the ethnic conflict in Bosnia-Herzegovina in the 1990's.

If convicted, Mladic faces life in prison.
