A Syrian military helicopter has gone down in the capital, amid reports of heavy fighting between government forces and rebels in the area.
Syrian state television reported Monday a helicopter had gone down in Damascus, but offered no further details.
Some reports say the aircraft was hit by rebel fire, the burst into flames before crashing to the ground. Amateur video showed an aircraft engulfed in flames plummeting to the Earth.
The British-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says the helicopter crashed in the Damascus neighborhood of Jobar.
