Officials in central Afghanistan say two suicide bombers have killed 12 people and wounded more than 50 near a NATO base.
A spokesman for the Wardak provincial governor say the attacks took place Saturday morning in the province's Sayed Abad district.
Authorities say the first bombing was carried out by a militant on foot, followed by a blast from a bomber in a truck.
Officials say the dead include civilians and Afghan police. They say no international coalition service members were killed in the attacks.
The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack.
In a separate incident, NATO says two U.S. service members died Saturday in an insurgent attack in Ghazni province.
